Lifespan Montessori received a grant from Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful (KACCB) to install an outdoor observation bee for students to observe and use in lessons. The mission of our community partner, The Bee Cause, is to “stimulate curiosity in young people about the importance of honey bees in our lives and the need to understand and embrace them and to care about their well-being through the installation of bee hives in 1,000 schools.” Lifespan is the first school in Athens to acquire a hive from The Bee Cause.
